‘A house per day’ model

The Architecture model was inspired by sketches in Andrew Bruno's year-long series 'A House per Day'. The main body of the model was made using reclaimed wood from a heat-treated pallet. The wood had some damage from rot, but instead of trying to hide or 'fix' it I decided to incorporate it as part of the design and use to to add visual interest. As I did not have access to a workshop during this project, I used a drill and Dremel to create the windows and doors, and then waxed the wood for a dark, rich finish. The base is made from faux marble which was harvested from a construction site, which was then cut using an angle grinder. Finally, the triangular trees were made using thin balsa wood.
